Praying for a seriously wounded New York City (NY) Police officer and two wounded Des Moines (IA) Police officers

Our Father in Heaven, we come into Your Presence, O’ Lord with hearts of praise and gratitude unto You for sparing the life of a New York City Police officer and two Des Moines Police officers. As the news reports indicate the New York City Police officer was shot in the chest and is stable at a local hospital, we ask for Your Healing touch to continue to be upon him and to grant the medical doctor’s wisdom and insight in order to provide for a full and complete recovery. May Your grace additionally touch the two Des Moines Police officers who were shot and are in stable condition. Most importantly, Lord, we ask for Your amazing grace to settle upon the hearts and minds of each of these three wounded officers and the large contingent of law enforcement officers who were at both scenes. As they must deal with the emotional reality of this life-threatening event, may Your grace and your presence especially touch these wounded peace officer’s hearts and minds as they faced this near-death encounter. May Your Presence, mercy and grace be with the members of the New York City Police and Des Moines Police departments and the many other officers as we know it can affect other co-workers as well. May Your peace that passes all understanding especially touch the family of these three wounded peace officers as they rally around their loved one after this near-death experience. Lord, may You use this near tragedy to draw the members of the many law enforcement agencies unto Your side where many can intimately experience the joy provided by Your Son. And if any of these wounded officers or any other co-workers or family members do not know Your love and forgiveness, may Your Holy Spirit cause many to examine their hearts and draw them to the Love of Your Son. Lord, we ask You to provide the investigators with wisdom and insight as they investigate these attempted murders on your servants. May Your mercies and Your Presence continue to protect all law enforcement officers from all harm and danger every day. Most importantly Lord, as a result of these near-death encounters, may You draw many officers and family members to Your side and may many come to receive You as their Savior and Lord. May Your word as follows bring comfort to many, “Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand “, and “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.“ May Your mercies and peace rest upon the many other peace officers, first responders and medical personnel who aided in saving the lives of these wounded warriors. This we ask in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
