Our Gracious Lord, We come into Your presence Lord to lift up the men and women of the San Bernardino Police Department as they mourn the loss of Officer Shaun Jarvis from an off-duty collision.  May Your sweet presence be made known to every member of the department as they grieve the loss of a dear friend and colleague .  May Your grace, peace and mercies touch their hearts and minds and draw them ever so close to each other and YOU, Lord, in the bonds of love.  May Your presence especially surround the family of Officer Jarvis as they endure this sudden loss of a beloved husband and father.   May You grant wisdom to the traffic investigators as they work to determine the facts in this collision.  May Your peace, grace and mercy also touch the driver of the other vehicle involved in that collision.  Lord, we ask you to use this tragedy to draw the entire San Bernardino Police Department ever so close to Your heart where there a never-ending supply of grace, mercy, peace and Love.   May those co-workers who were especially close to Shaun intimately know that as they walk through this valley of the shadow of death, that You will always be with them.  May many officers, family members and friends be drawn ever so close to Your side for we know You will be their refuge and especially their strength.  And  in the coming days as the department prepares to say farewell, may many be drawn ever so close to Your side.  Lord, we know that there are some co-workers who have been especially emotionally and spiritually challenged by this sudden loss of their friend.  May Your grace gently touch their hearts and minds and draw them ever so close to Your heart where there is a tender peace.  May they come to intimately know the peace that passes all understanding that only You can provide.  May many have an opportunity to know the love of Your Son and receive him into their hearts as their Savior and Lord.  May they know You that You will never leave them nor forsake them especially at this difficult time.  This we ask in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
