Our Gracious Father, Once again the law enforcement community is reminded that motor vehicles are just as deadly as firearms.  First Lord, we come into Your presence to lift up a seriously injured Prince George’s County Police Officer Bashua Olaseha who was in one of three police vehicles struck by an out of control vehicle while on a traffic stop.  Lord, we ask for Your abundant mercies to be upon his life and ask you t restore him to full health.  May you instill supernatural wisdom to the many medical professionals treating his injuries and may they render to correct medical care to completely heal him.  May Your mercies touch the hearts of the other officers who witnessed this injury to Officer Bashua Olaseha and may You uplift their spirits.  May Your grace, peace, mercies and comfort especially touch the family of Officer Olaseha who are deeply concerned and rallying at his side to support and love him.  May Your amazing grace and peace rest upon the men and women of the Prince George’s County Police.

Next, Lord, we lift up the men and women of the Franklin County Sheriff’s Department in the on-duty traffic fatality of Deputy Cruz Thomas—the son of the Sheriff.  Lord, it is obvious this death has greatly affected the entire Sheriff’s Department and it is only Your grace that is able to carry them through this very emotional time.  May Your peace that passes all understanding be made manifest to every member of the Sheriff’s Department and especially to the many family members and friends.  And as the department must now prepare to say farewell, may many be drawn ever so close to Your side.  May Your name be lifted high and may many be drawn to Your Son for comfort and peace, this we ask in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
