Our Gracious Heavenly Father, We find ourselves again mourning the death of another law enforcement colleague, Officer Jeremiah Goodson. Lord, we know your mercy and love are endless and ask you to pour out your grace upon the Lumberton Police Department as they endure the loss of a co-worker and friend. Father, we also ask you to place your loving arms around Officer Goodson’s wife who is expecting a baby. Lord, in times like this, it is only YOU who can truly provide comfort and peace through this tragic loss. We lift up the every officer with the Lumberton Police Department and ask your loving touch to be upon their hearts and their spirits to keep them emotionally and spiritually strong. May your name be glorified and may all of the officers and family members come to know you in a personal way as their Savior and Lord. We also lift up the suspect and ask you reveal yourself to him that he, too, may come to know you personally, in the name of Jesus, Amen.
