Our Lord, Once again the two most common calls, traffic stops and domestic calls, prove to be challenging for officers in Chicago and Knoxville.  Lord, we are so very grateful for Your hands of protection to have been upon these officers.  We first want to lift up these two Chicago officers who were fired upon at a traffic stop.  We are so thankful for the invention of the Kevlar vest which saved one of the officers and are grateful that the officer had the foresight to be sure to wear it.  May Your healing power continue to be upon the officer who was wounded in the knee.  Grant the medical doctors insight and wisdom to properly heal and restore him to full health.  We next want to lift up wounded Knoxville Officer Darrell Sextonr who was in the fight of his life when he was shot with his own weapon at a domestic violence call.  Lord, we are thankful for sparing his life as he sustained a leg and chest wound.  May Your mercies and peace touch his heart and mind as he recovers.  Lord, we want to lift up the many other officers and co-workers from Chicago P.D. and Knoxville P.D. who were emotionally, spiritually and mentally affected at the near loss of their colleagues.  May Your mercies and peace that passes all understanding especially touch the hearts of these four officers who were present during these life threatening incidents and draw them ever so close to You that they can hear Your heart beat.  May these officers place their trust in You as You will always be their Rock and Shield.  May Your blessings be upon the families of these four wounded officers and fill them will Your comfort and everlasting love.  May your grace touch the families of every member of the Chicago and Knoxville Police Department as many are obviously frightened for the safety of their loved ones.  May You encamp Your angels around every law enforcement officer across America and abroad.  Grant every officer supernatural wisdom and insight to discern danger wherever they go as they protect and serve.  May Your mercies be upon every peacemaker for You will always be our Refuge and Strength.  May Your grace also touch the lives of the wounded suspects and may they come to know Your love and forgiveness.  May You use these life-threatening events in Chicago and Knoxville to draw many officers and family members to seek You.  And if any officer is uncertain about where they will spend eternity, may You draw them to the love of Your Son in whom there is everlasting life and forgiveness.  This we ask in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
