Our Father in Heaven, we come before Your Throne of Grace as we lift up another one of Your servants injured in the line of duty.  May You be with this injured officer in the hospital as he recovers.  May You continue to grant the doctor’s wisdom and insight to be able to diagnose and treat his injuries and to provide for a full recovery.  May You also be with the other officers at that scene who had to endure the sight of watching a co-worker suffer injuries in the line of duty.  More than anything Lord, we are so very grateful that You spared the life of this officer.  May Your mercies and grace especially extend to his family and uplift them with Your arms of love and comfort.  May Your loving kindness even extend to the drunk driver who caused the collision and may he find comfort in Your mercies as he faces justice.  May You use this life-threatening incident to remind law enforcement officers in San Bernardino and abroad that their life is in Your hands and for their need to be spiritually prepared.  May Your peace that passes all understanding rest upon the entire San Bernardino Police Department.  And if any do not know Your love in a real and personal way, may many be drawn unto Your side where they may personally experience Your forgiveness and receive eternal life found only in Your Son.  Continue to be a Shield around every officer, in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
