Our Gracious Lord, we again come boldly before Your Throne of Grace as we lift up the men and women of the Gary Police Department in on-duty the murder of one of their officers who was seated in his unit. Lord, this is the second Indiana officer killed just hours apart from the Indianapolis officer. Lord, as this heinous crime was not witnessed, we ask that You grant the investigators supernatural wisdom and insight in order to locate witnesses and ultimately apprehend the suspect in this senseless murder that occurred on the weekend America celebrates freedom. O Lord, we finds ourselves again seeking Your endless love and mercies to settle upon the Gary Police Department as they endure the loss of their dear friend and co-worker. Lord, we ask for Your amazing grace and abundant mercies to touch the hearts and minds of every Gary police officer and fill them with Your Holy Spirit. May Your peace, love, mercy, grace and Fatherly comfort especially touch this fallen servant. Lord, the pain the law enforcement community is experiencing is ever so great as this loss is just another example of the dangers the men and women of law enforcement face every day. May the strength and power of Your Holy Spirit settle upon the entire Gary Police Department. May You continue to fill the investigators with Your Holy Spirit and supernatural wisdom. May many officers, friends and family members be drawn ever so close to Your side where they may wait upon You to renew their strength. May they, too, intimately know that You will be their Rock, Fortress and Deliver. For thou O’ Lord are a Shield about, You’re Our Glory and the Lifter of our Head. May You be a Shield about them and may You be glorified in the days and weeks ahead because of Your amazing grace. May many in the Gary Police Department be drawn unto You for strength. May You raise up Godly chaplains and Christian officers and may they know that now is the acceptable time, that now is the day of salvation. May they hear the Holy Spirit knocking on the door of their heart, in the name of Jesus Christ we pray, Amen.
