Our Father in Heaven,  We come with hearts of praise and gratitude unto You Lord for sparing the lives of two of your Lakewood Peacemakers.  We are so very grateful that both officers were donning their Kevlar vests which contributed in saving them.  Lord, on the weekend that America celebrates its freedom, we join with the Lakewood Police Department in rejoicing that the lives of two servants of righteousness were saved by Your mercy and grace.  May you continue to grant the medical doctors wisdom and insight in order to provide for a full and complete recovery from their injuries.  More importantly, Lord, we ask for Your amazing grace to settle upon their hearts and minds as these officers replay this life-threatening event over and over in their minds in the days to come.  May Your grace and your presence touch the many other Lakewood officers who were present just after their co-workers were injured as they can be affected just as much as the wounded officers.  May Your peace that passes all understanding touch the families of the wounded officers as they rally around their loved ones from this near death experience.  Lord,  May You use this near tragedy to draw the entire Lakewood Police Department unto Your side to intimately experience the joy provided by Your son.  And if these wounded officers or any other co-workers or family members do not know Your love and forgiveness, may Your Holy Spirit cause many to examine their hearts and draw them to the Love of Your Son.  May Many come to receive You as their Savior and Lord.  May Your mercies and peace rest upon the many other first responders and medical personnel who aided in saving the lives of these wounded warriors.  This we ask in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
