Our Mighty God, We come again before your Throne of Grace to lift up two more of Your peacemakers who were wounded protecting and serving their community. We are thankful that their lives were spared and ask for you healing touch to be upon them and restore them to complete health. Even though the injuries were not life-threatening to these officers, we ask for your grace to be upon them and upon the men and women of the Michigan State Police and Douglas Police Department. As we know incidents like these can cause long term emotional trauma, we lift up these officers and many of their co-workers unto Your Throne of Grace and ask You to preserve their heart and minds from enduring the pain of any long-term emotional trauma. May your grace, love, peace and comfort especially touch the families of both wounded officers and may they sense Your presence as you carry them through this very emotional time. Lord, as these incident have affected hundreds of law enforcement officers, their families and friends, may many be drawn unto Your side where they may be drawn to You by Your Holy Spirit. And should any officer be struggling spiritually, may they intimately know that You will be at their side because your word tells us that you will never leave us nor forsake us. May many officers come to realize that you are not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance. So Lord, may many be drawn to Your Son in whom eternal life can be found and may many receive the salvation found in Him alone. This we ask in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
