Our Gracious Lord, We come into Your presence Lord to lift up a Westchester County Police Officer who was struck by a car.  As the news reports indicate his injuries are serious, we ask for Your grace and mercies to be upon him and draw him ever so close to Your side.  May You indwell the medical staff with wisdom and insight in order to be able to properly diagnose his injuries and render the correct treatment.  As we know the officer is experiencing pain (mentally, emotionally and physically) may Your peace that transcends all understanding descend upon him and uphold him with Your loving arms.  May Your peace and mercies also touch his family who are at his side and fill them with Your amazing grace.  As we know many officers, paramedics and first responders provided immediate aid to this injured officer, we ask for the comfort of Your Holy Spirit to settle upon them and may You allow them to experience Your grace and comfort at this very emotional time of uncertainty.  We know that You, Lord, are close to the brokenhearted and rescues those who are crushed in spirit.  So Lord, may Your Holy Spirit touch the hearts of those who are struggling to make sense of this near-death experience of one of Your servants.  Reveal Your mercies, grace and peace to many who are struggling right now.  And if this injured officer does not know You personally, may You speak to his heart at this very moment and reveal to him how much You love him.  May You raise up chaplains, Godly officers and others to be a representative of Your loving kindness to those in need.  May this incident heal the brokenhearted.  May You mend broken relationships and friendships and bring the men and women of the Westchester County Police Department ever so close to Your side.  May many be given an opportunity to receive You as their Savior and Lord.  This we ask in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
