Our Father in Heaven, once again we want to express our sincere gratitude to You Lord for sparing the lives of several more of Your peacemakers.  We are so thankful that most of the injuries to the deputies at the scene were minor and ask for Your grace to be upon the one deputy who is being treated at the hospital.  May Your healing touch he upon his entire body and may You grant the doctors wisdom to apply the proper treatment and allow for a full recovery.  As we know incidents like this can cause emotional trauma and leave emotional scars, we ask for Your grace, peace, mercies and comfort to settle upon every deputy and any other law enforcement officer who was present when this incident unfolded.  May You protect their hearts and minds at all times.  May Your grace touch the entire Rutherford County Sheriff’s Department.  Most importantly Lord, may Your comfort, grace and peace fill the hearts of the family members who were so deeply affected by this incident in nearly losing a loved one.  May those deputies and family members who may be troubled in their heart be drawn to You—the One who can bring rest to a weary soul.  And if any deputy does not know the love of Your Son—in whom there is eternal life—may he/she be drawn unto Your side to receive You as Savior and Lord.  May the suspect also be drawn unto You where he can know the love and forgiveness of Your Son, too.  May Your Holy Spirit open and soften anyone with a hard heart.  In the Name of Jesus Christ we pray, Amen.
