Our Gracious Lord, We come with boldness and urgency before Your wonderful Throne of Grace to lift up the St. Louis (Missouri)Police Department and the entire surrounding law enforcement community.  O Lord, it is only Your intervening grace and mercy that can descend upon the people of St. Louis and the surrounding communities to bring about peace and calm.  As Your word says so pointedly that—All things are possible with God—it is to You Lord we present our prayers.  May You dispatch Your angels to encamp around the entire St. Louis community at large and prevent any evil influences from descending and causing havoc.  May You grant the law enforcement leaders wisdom how to direct their forces in an effective manner to restore calm.  May Your protecting hand be upon every law enforcement officer wherever they go at all times.  May they remember their training and to use every measure of wisdom to be the peacemakers they were ordained to be because of Your grace.  May they remember the words of King David who said, “I will call upon the Lord, who is worthy to be praised; So shall I be saved from my enemies.”  He also said, “The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer;  My God, my strength, in whom I will trust; My shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold. “  May every law enforcement officer place these words in their hearts and  lean on them for strength.  Grant grace, peace and mercy to every citizen abroad.  Bring calm and peace because of Your intervening grace.  May every law enforcement officer and citizen recognize it is YOU who accomplished this and may many officers and citizens come close to Your heart to recognize the peace and forgiveness found only in Your Son.  May the love, forgiveness and peace of Jesus Christ be made alive right now in St. Louis, in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
