Our Father in Heaven, Our hearts are broken as we grieve with the men and women of the Travis County Sheriff’s Department in this tragic death of Deputy Jessica Hollis. O Lord, we ask for Your supernatural presence to be made known in the hearts of the entire Travis County Sheriff’s Department as they sense a tremendous emptiness in their souls. May You be that Rock, that Fortress and an ever present help to them in this time of trouble. Lord, we especially ask you to touch the family members of Deputy Hollis who are also in deep mourning from this senseless and tragic loss at such a young age. May You surround them with Your sweet presence and may they know they can lean on You for You intimately care for them. May You grant an extra measure of grace and comfort to the many individuals who were involved in this frantic search for Deputy Hollis. May You take this tragedy, and by Your grace and mercies Lord, turn this into a blessing in the hearts of so many. May the memory of Deputy Hollis be treasured forever and may You use this as an opportunity to draw many friends, family members and members of the Travis County Sheriff’s Department ever so close to Your side for You said Never would You leave us and Never would You forsake us. In the days to come as the preparations are made to say farewell to Deputy Hollis, may You use this as an opportunity for the love of Your Son to be shared with many. May many friends, family members and co-workers come to receive Your Son into their hearts as their Savior and Lord, in the name of Jesus Christ we pray, Amen.
