Our Merciful Father, The law enforcement community is grateful to You, Lord, for recently sparing the lives of so many of Your peacemakers including two more of Your servants with the Oklahoma City (Oklahoma) Police Department who were wounded in the line of duty.  According to the news reports, their injuries are not life-threatening and for that, we are so thankful because of Your mercies.  Nonetheless Lord, we ask for Your peace, mercies and Your presence to be made known to both of these officers and may You comfort them with Your amazing grace.  As this situation resulted in several others being shot (which has now evolved into a hostage situation), we ask for Your continued grace and protection to be upon the many law enforcement officers involved in trying to contain this volatile incident.   May You instill supernatural wisdom in the investigators and commanders in charge of this scene and may they bring about a successful and peaceful resolution to this dangerous scenario.  May Your Holy Spirit speak to the mind of the suspect who is holding someone hostage and cause him to peacefully surrender.  And should the suspect attempt to harm the hostage or any officers, we ask for Your Angels to encamp around them and keep them safe from all harm.  Lord, we ask You to hear our pleas for mercy for the men and women of the Oklahoma City Police Department.  May Your grace and mercies touch the families of the wounded officers and hold them close to Your Side.  If these officers or any family members are struggling emotionally with this near-death encounter, may Your Presence be made real in their hearts and minds and may they be drawn ever so close to Your heart.  May Your grace and peace especially touch the members of the Oklahoma City Police Department and all of their family members of the officers who are at this scene.  May You provide all officers involved with Your Peace that passes all understanding.  And if any officers may be struggling with an uncertainty about life after death, may they be drawn to Your Son in whom there is forgiveness and everlasting life.  May You protect every officer from enduring any long-term emotional trauma.  In the name of Jesus Christ we pray, Amen.
