Our Father in Heaven, We thank You, Lord, for sparing the lives of two more of Your peacemakers who were stabbed multiple times by a knife-wielding man. We are also thankful that responding officers were able to successfully apprehend this dangerous suspect without any further injury. So Lord, we lift up both of these wounded officers into Your awesome Presence and ask You to surround them with Your arms of love and grace. As one of the officers is critical but stable, we continue to lift both officers unto Your Throne of Grace and seek Your grace and healing power to be upon both officers. May You continue to give the medical doctors wisdom and insight to render the correct medical treatment and to allow for a quick and full recovery. May Your peace that passes all understanding settle upon the hearts and minds of both wounded officers and may Your Holy Spirit draw them into Your Presence. May they both sense Your love and peace in the midst of this difficult storm. May Your mercies especially extend to the families of both wounded officers and may every family member be comforted by a touch of the Master’s Hand. May Your grace and comfort settle upon the many other Park Rangers and law enforcement officers who were emotionally traumatized by this near death encounter and may Your peace fill their hearts and minds. May You raise up chaplains and Godly officers to be a source of strength and comfort to the many co-workers, family and friends affected by this assault. May Many be drawn unto Your Son in whom there is everlasting life, in the name of Jesus Christ we pray, Amen.
