Our Gracious Lord, We come into Your presence Lord Jesus to seek Your unfairly love and grace to descend upon the Rio Rancho Police Dept. as they mourn the loss of Officer Anthony Haase. Just as thousands of law enforcement officers drive police cruisers every day, we know operating a police vehicle is just one of the many inherent dangers they face every day. Lord, we ask for Your mercies and grace to reach out to the men and women of the Rio Rancho Police Dept as they must now cope with the loss of a dear friend and co-worker. As this collision was not witnessed, we ask that You grant the investigators depth of insight and wisdom in order to be able to determine the facts surrounding this incident. More than anything Lord, we ask for Your calming presence to touch the many family members who have been so deeply and emotionally affected at this untimely loss of a fine young officer in the prime of his life. As we know You are able to bring good through tragedies, we ask that Your Holy Spirit would touch the many hearts who are grieving so deeply and drawn them into Your presence where there is comfort and solace in Your grace. May Your mercies especially touch the family members of Officer Haase and uphold them with Your mighty arms of love, grace, peace and mercy. And as the Rio Rancho Police Dept. will be preparing a final farewell, may You use this as an opportunity for the love of Your Son to speak to many grieving hearts. May You use this also to draw many into the presence of Your Son in whom there is forgiveness of sins and everlasting life. May You bring good through this tragedy, in the name of Jesus Christ we pray, Amen.
