O’ Lord, it is again with very heavy hearts that the people of Texas and the entire law enforcement community mourn and grieve the loss of another peacemaker, Deputy Josh Mitchell. Father, we seek your grace for the members of the Reagan County Sheriff's Department as they endure the loss of their dear friend and co-worker. Lord Jesus, we ask you to comfort Deputy Mitchell’s entire family as they are in shock from this tragic incident. Lord, not only do we join in mourning this tragic loss, but we concurrently lift up the law enforcement family in America and especially ask your protecting hand to be upon every one of your peacemaker-servants who have voluntarily placed themselves in harms way as an act of love to protect and serve their community and nation. Lord Jesus, we also lift up this man who took Deputy Mitchell’s life and ask your Holy Spirit to speak to his heart and draw him unto you for mercy. Not only may he come to know you as savior and Lord but may every deputy, co-worker, friend and family member be drawn to the Cross where there is abundant rest and peace. May your name be glorified for you are our Rock, our Fortress and our Deliverer, in the name of Jesus we pray, Amen.
