Our Loving Father, as we know the men and women of the Elmore County Sheriff’s Department are in shock at this sudden and tragic loss of one of their co-workers, we ask for Your grace to made ever so real in their hearts. As we lift them into Your Presence, may Your mercy, love and comfort sweep over them and sustain them with Your Arms of Loving kindness. May you also be their Stronghold. As four others also lost their lives in this tragic accident, we know the lives of many families are going to be grieving and mourning ever so greatly. So Lord, we ask for Your divine presence to descend upon the multitude of investigators, law enforcement officers, chaplains, medical personnel and coroner officials as they work together at this horrific scene. Grant them physical, mental and spiritual strength. May Your presence be with all of the families who lost loved ones. May Your mercies and peace especially touch Sheriff Bill Franklin as he leads his department through a very difficult and emotional time. Grant him supernatural strength as he leads, guides and supports the family of this fallen deputy and his entire department. Lord, may You be a Shield and source of strength to every deputy, friend and family member. Grant the collision investigators with wisdom to be able to reconstruct this collision to determine what happened. May Your mercies be with the lone survivor and may You grant the doctor’s wisdom to save his life. Lord, we ask for mercy upon all. Touch the entire Elmore County Sheriff’s Department with a peace that passes all understanding. And as the department will be making preparations to say farewell to this fallen deputy, may Your love and strength be made real in the hearts of the brokenhearted. May Your Name be lifted high and may all men be drawn to the love and peace found only in Your Son, in the name of Jesus Christ we pray, Amen.
