Our Father in Heaven, As we come into Your Presence to lift Officer Swett before Your Throne of Grace, we first want to thank You for sparing his life because of Your mercy and grace for Your Peacemakers.  So Lord, we seek Your continued touch upon Officer Swett as he is being treated for various injuries after being intentionally struck by a man who stole his unit.  May Your hands of mercy and peace be upon his mind and spirit as he is in the hospital.  May you bestow upon the doctors and entire medical staff supernatural wisdom to be able to properly treat his injuries and restore him to full health.  May Your grace touch the men and women of the San Diego Police Department as they rally around one of their own.  Lord, we also lift up the family of Officer Swett and ask for Your grace, mercy, love and everlasting comfort touch them as they go through this very emotional time.  May You be with the officers of the San Diego Police Department who were at that initial scene having to have witnessed one of their officers down.  As we know these types of incidents can be very emotionally challenging, may Your mercies be abundant and may You draw them ever so close together in the bonds of brotherly love.  May Your Holy Spirit speak to the heart of Officer Swett and draw him unto Your Side.  May he sense Your Presence as he is being treated and begins the recovery process.  And if he does not know Your love, may You reveal to him just how much You love him.  In the name of Jesus Christ we pray, Amen.
