Praying for a wounded Springfield (Missouri) Police Officer

Our Gracious Lord, We again come before Your Throne of Grace to lift up another one of Your peacemakers wounded in the line of duty.  We thank you for sparing the life of this Springfield officer and as he is being treated at a local hospital, we would ask that You grant the doctors and all medical personnel with wisdom from on high in order to not only diagnose the injuries but to also apply the correct treatment to bring about a full healing.  Lord, the law enforcement community in Missouri has been hit hard with attacks on Your peacemakers ever since the highly publicized officer involved shooting last August.  We ask for Your divine intervention upon every Missouri peacemaker and seek Your supernatural intervention across that state.  May Your grace, mercy, love and especially Your peace settle upon the people across the entire state of Missouri.  May Your hands of loving kindness and protection be upon every law enforcement officer at all times.  May Your wisdom descend upon every Missouri peace officer and fill them with Your grace and mercy as they protect and serve their communities.  May Your Presence be made ever so real to the men and women of the Springfield Police Department as they rally around their wounded comrade and support him and his family at this time of uncertainty.   As the news reports indicate a possible suspect has been caught; may You grant the investigators wisdom to quickly determine if this suspect is the one who shot the officer.  If not, may You cause the actual shooter to be located and apprehended.  Continue to give the Springfield Police Officers Your wisdom to be the best police officers possible.  May Your wisdom cause them to use safe tactics, use their tools available and to always remember their training.   May every Springfield Police Officer and those across Missouri to remember they are to always, “Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves; ensure justice for those being crushed.” (Proverbs 31:8 NLT)  Continue to touch and heal Your wounded Springfield Police servant.  May Your grace, love, peace and comfort especially touch the family of this wounded officer and sustain them with Your Amazing grace at all times.  Draw the entire Springfield Police Department together in the bonds of love.  May many come to know Your love in a real way.  May those who’ve strayed from Your path be drawn back to Your love, in the name of Jesus Christ we pray, Amen.
