Our Father in Heaven, We earnestly come before You Lord to lift up this wounded officer before Your throne of Grace and place him into Your loving care.  We are thankful that his life was spared and that his wound is not considered life threatening as he was shot in his Kevlar vest.  Nonetheless Lord, we ask you to guide the hands of the doctors to be certain this officer did not sustain any serious injuries from the impact trauma.  May the doctors render the correct medical care and restore him to complete health.  We also want to lift up all of the officers at that scene who had to use deadly force to neutralize the suspect from harming anyone else.  May your grace, peace, mercies and comfort settle upon them and may every officer be drawn to You where they can experience Your abundant peace.  May Your grace touch the many other officers with the Baltimore County Police Department as we know incidents like these can also affect their co-workers.  And for any officer directly involved in this incident who may have been deeply affected emotionally, may they intimately know they can always cast theirs cares upon you for we know You care for them.  May you prevent them from experiencing any long-term emotional trauma.  May Your grace touch the hearts and minds of the families of these law enforcement officer who were involved in this dangerous incident and may Your love reign supreme.  May You draw any officer who was involved in this incident close to Your side and may many come to know You as their Savior and Lord.  This we ask in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
