Our Gracious Lord, Hear our prayer O’ Lord as we lift up Sheriff Joey Terrell and another deputy who were both wounded during a domestic call by a former Habersham deputy.  As the early news reports indicate their wounds were not life-threatening, we are so thankful that you spared their lives.  As they are being treated at a hospital, we ask You to grant the doctors with wisdom and insight to be able to diagnose and treat their injuries to bring about a full recovery.  May You be with the multiple law enforcement officers who are searching for the suspect and grant them wisdom to be able to locate and apprehend him safely.  May Your hands of grace and mercy be with them at all times.  May they intimately know that You will be a Shield about them.  May Your Holy Spirit convict the heart of this suspect, a former sheriff’s deputy, and cause him to surrender.  May You prevent him from harming any others and may You cause his weapon to malfunction. May You speak to his heart and cause him to surrender.  May Your peace, grace, mercy and comfort settle upon the men and women of the Habersham County Sheriff’s Department especially as this tragic incident involved a former co-worker.  We also ask You to wrap Your Arms of love around the families of these wounded peacemakers as they support them at this very emotional time.  May You grant the investigators supernatural wisdom as they gather evidence and investigate the murder of the suspects wife.  May every law enforcement officer know that You will be their Strength and Stronghold.  And as they search for the suspect, may they know they can Trust in You with all their heart.  May they intimately know that Your Word says that they are to trust in the Lord with all thier heart and that they are not to lean on their own understanding. May they, in all their ways, acknowledge You, for You will make their paths straight.  May You use this near-death experience to draw many law enforcement officers close to Your side.  May many know that whoever shall call upon the name of the Lord will be saved.  And if any law enforcement officers have strayed from Your path, may You draw them back to the love and forgiveness found in Your Son.  May many law enforcement officers come to know the love of Your Son and may many receive Your Son into their heart as their Savior and Lord.  May they forever rest in the shadow of Your wings.  In the name of Jesus Christ we pray, Amen.
