Our Gracious Lord, We come together with the men and women of the U.S. Marshals Service in mourning the death of Deputy U.S. Marshal Josie Wells. We ask that your peace and grace would settle upon the men and women of the U.S. Marshal’s Service and the many allied law enforcement officers who were involved in that deadly incident. May You sustain them with Your Mighty Arms of Love as they cope with the loss of a friend and co-worker. May your love, grace, peace, mercy and comfort touch the many law enforcement officers who were at that scene who had to witness this tragic incident which will forever be with them the rest of their lives. We especially lift up the family of Deputy U.S. Marshal Josie Wells as we know they are grieving deeply in this loss. May Your Holy Spirit draw them ever so close to Your side. May your grace, peace and mercy settle upon the entire U.S. Marshal’s Service and give the investigators wisdom and discernment to gather all of the facts surrounding this deadly incident. May your protecting hand encircle the entire U.S Marshal’s Service and keep their minds and hearts secure in your love. May Your Amazing Grace protect and preserve them from enduring any of the long term emotional effects incidents like these can cause. May the love of Jesus be revealed to the entire U.S. Marshal’s Service and may many come to personally know HIS love. May your peace that passes all understanding guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. May the family and members of the U.S. Marshal’s Service intimately know that he who dwells in the shelter of the Most High shall rest in the Shadow of the Almighty. May You raise up chaplains and other Godly law enforcement officers to share Your peace and love with those hurting. We thank You that You are our King of Kings, our living Water, our Friend and our Bread of Life. May You provide an opportunity for many to receive You as Savior and Lord, in the name of Jesus Christ we pray, Amen.
