Our Father in Heaven, as more law enforcement officers are injured and attacked in the line of duty, we ask You to use these life-threatening incidents to wake up the hearts and souls of every law enforcement officer and draw them unto Your side.  May they know that anyone who intimately knows You can be encouraged for Your word says, “…do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”   So Lord, we first lift up these two wounded Los Angeles Police Officers who were apparently ambushed.  As early news reports indicate they were grazed, we thank You for Your grace and mercy to have been with these officers and thank You for sparing their lives.  We ask You to give the investigators wisdom to locate the suspects and protect all of the officers as they search for the suspects.  We also want to lift up two injured Avondale Officers involved in an unusual assault.  May You give the Avondale investigators wisdom to piece together the facts surrounding this incident.  We are so thankful to You Lord for sparing their lives.  May You be with the medical staff who are treating all of these officers and give them wisdom to treat them and restore them to full health.  As these four officers experienced near death encounters today, we ask for Your mighty arms of Love to wrap around each of them and draw them ever so close to Your Holy Spirit for comfort.  May each of them experience Your peace in the middle of this storm.  May you also be with the families of each of these officers and draw them close to Your Side.  May Your peace that passes all understanding settle on their hearts and minds.  We also ask You to touch the men and women of both the Los Angeles Police Department and the Avondale Police Department.  May each of them intuitively and experientially know You are a Shield about them.  May You protect the hearts and souls of these wounded/injured officers and prevent them from enduring any long term or short term emotional trauma.  May many officers who do not know You come to realize their need to receive You as their Savior and Lord.  May they know that now is the day of salvation because You came to give them eternal life.  This we ask in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
