Our Father in Heaven, We again come in earnest before You Lord to lift up a wounded Boston Police Officer.  As the news reports state that he was shot in the face, we ask You to be with the medical professionals and grant them wisdom to effectively diagnose and treat the injuries and provide for a full recovery.  As we know an officer was forced to use his weapon and a suspect lost his life, we know incidents like these can be very traumatic for many who were at that scene.  We therefore come boldly before Your Throne of Grace and ask You to encamp Your angels around every officer and keep them from enduring any of the emotional trauma that often occurs with these incidents and prevent any officer from any long term affects.   May You fill the investigators with wisdom in order to be able to gather all of the facts surrounding this deadly encounter.  May Your grace, peace, mercies and comfort touch the hearts and minds of every law enforcement officer who was at that incident.  May Your grace and peace especially touch the families of all of the officers who were involved in that incident.  May Your grace and peace also touch the family of this wounded officer and fill them Your peace that passes all understanding.  May Your amazing grace continue to touch this wounded officer—both in his body and in his spirit.  If this officer (or any other officer who was at that deadly scene) does not know Your grace, love and peace, may Your Holy Spirit touch their hearts and draw them  unto Your Son in whom there is forgiveness and eternal life.  Grant peace, strength and courage to the many law enforcement officers who were at that scene.  May they know your word says, “The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears, And delivers them out of all their troubles.”  May You be glorified through this incident.  In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
