Our Father in Heaven, We come boldly into Your Presence to seek a touch of the Master’s Hand upon Cpl. Hazeltine.  We are truly grateful to You Lord for sparing his life and ask You to continue to give the medical doctors wisdom to treat and restore him to full health.  As we know this investigation is still fluid, may You protect every law enforcement officer from all harm and danger as they continue their search for the suspect.  As the news reports indicate a person was taken into custody with several weapons, it is our hope this was the suspect and that no other law enforcement officers will be harmed.  May your awesome presence and comfort reach out to the entire St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Department as we know this incident has placed a great emotional toll on the them.  May Your mercies additionally be abundant of Cp. Hazentine’s family and children who are all at the hospital supporting him at this difficult time.  May Your grace touch the entire Louisiana law enforcement community statewide as we know attacks like these can affect not only every law enforcement officer but their families as well.  Lord, whenever one of Your Peacemakers is attacked, we know this is not just an assault on a law enforcement officer, but it is an attack on everything You created for we know we have a spiritual enemy who will use any means to kill, steal and destroy.  May every law enforcement officer know that You came to give anyone who chooses to receive You, abundant life.  May You draw Cpl. Hazeltine ever so close to Your Side.  And if He does not know You, may You supernaturally speak to his heart.  May You also use this near-death encounter to draw many other law enforcement officers and family members unto Your Side.  May You cause many to examine their hearts that if they were to die today, would they have assurance to be in Your Presence?  May they know that now is the day of salvation and may You raise up chaplains and others to share the love of Your Son where they may confess their sins and receive eternal life.  May You continue to encamp Your angels around every officer.  May they intimately know You will be their Rock, Fortress in times of trouble, in the name of Jesus Christ we pray, Amen.
