Our Father in Heaven, our hearts join with the men and women of the Coos County Sheriff’s Department in mourning the death of Deputy Gil Datan from this on-duty ATV accident. O’ Lord, we come before Your Throne of Grace to seek Your peace and comfort to touch the entire department as they come to grips with this loss. We especially ask for Your presence and peace to touch the family of Deputy Datan as they are mourning and grieving this sudden loss. We ask for Your arms of love and grace to touch the Coos County Sheriff’s Department as they must now prepare to say a final farewell to a fallen brother. May You grant the investigators wisdom and insight to determine all of the facts surrounding this tragic accident. May Your love and grace touch the Sheriff of Coos County as he leads his department through this difficult time. May You raise up Godly chaplains and others to be a light to those whose hearts are hurting. Most importantly Lord, may many be drawn unto the love and peace found only in Your Son who died on the cross for our sins and gave us eternal life. This we ask in the name of Jesus Christ we pray, Amen.
