Our Gracious Lord, Today, we again see the dangers that daily face law enforcement officers across America and come before Your Throne of grace to lift up a North Carolina State Highway Patrol trooper and California Highway Patrol Officer Eric Dryden who were both injured in on-duty collisions today.  As the news reports indicate both officers received moderate injuries, we seek Your grace and mercies to be upon their physical bodies as they are being treated at their local hospitals.  May You continue to guide the doctors minds and hands to be able to not only effectively diagnose their injuries but to apply the proper treatment to allow for a full recovery.  May Your Presence be made ever so real to Officer Dryden and this North Carolina State Highway Patrol trooper as they are lying in their hospital beds.  May Your Holy Spirit speak to their hearts where they may intimately know You are with them right now.  May Your grace, comfort and peace touch the many co-workers who were affected at these near tragedies that affected their co-workers.  May Your peace that passes all understanding especially touch the families and/or spouses of these two injured officers and may they be keenly aware that You are with them granting them an amazing peace through this very emotional time.  As there were some citizens also injured, we lift them into Your Presence and ask for Your healing touch to be upon them also.  May both of these injured officers and their families know in their hearts that You desire to be their refuge and strength and an ever-present help in time of trouble.  So Lord, if either of these officers do not know Your love, may You open their hearts and minds and draw them unto Your Son in whom there is everlasting life, in the name of Jesus Christ we pray, Amen.
