Our Gracious Lord, Our hearts are again filled with sorrow at the loss of another one of Your peacemakers. O’ Lord we lift up the men and women of the Ligonier Township (Pennsylvania) Police Department bas they mourn the loss of Lt. Eric Eslary and his injured K-9 Partner. May Your mercies and grace settle upon the entire police department as they cope with this difficult loss. Lord, we also want to lift up the family of Lt. Eslary before Your Throne of Grace where they may sense Your amazing grace and Your Presence carrying them through this very emotional time. May You grant the traffic investigators wisdom to be gather the facts and piece together the details of this collision. Lord, we ask You to wrap Your loving arms around those who are hurting ever so deeply. May Your mercies also be with the other injured parties and bring about healing to them. May You also heal and restore the K-9 to full health. Lord, as the Ligonier Township (Pennsylvania) Police Dept. must now prepare to say a final farewell to Lt. Eslary, give them strength in their hearts and spirits to make all of the necessary arrangements. May Your words come alive in the hearts of many where you said as they go through the valley of darkness, You will be with them. May they intimately sense Your Presence carrying them through this ordeal by Your Strength. May They know in their hearts that You said You would never leave us nor forsake us. May You use the final farewell serviced as a time to draw many law enforcement officers ever so close to Your Side and may many receive You into their hearts as Savior and Lord, in the name of Jesus Christ we pray, Amen.
