Our Gracious Lord, We come into Your Presence Lord with hearts of gratitude and thanksgiving for sparing the life of this F.B.I. agent and the many other law enforcement officers who were present during the service of an arrest warrant.  We want to lift up this wounded agent before Your Throne of Grace and ask You to pour out Your mercy, peace and comfort upon him as he is recovering from his wound.  As we do not know the extent of the wound, we ask You to grant the medical staff treating him with wisdom and insight to be able to apply the proper treatment to allow for a full recovery.  We next want to lift up an injured Arizona Highway Patrol Officer who suffered a medical emergency while driving and crashed his cruiser.  As the news reports indicate he and his partner, a dispatcher, were in serious but stable condition, we seek the intervention of Your Holy Spirit on their lives.  May You grant the doctors wisdom and insight to diagnose the medical issue with the officer and render the appropriate treatment.  Lord, Your word says you will supply all of our needs according to Your Riches and Glory.  So Lord, may Your healing touch be upon this F.B.I. agent, this highway patrol officer and dispatcher and restore each of them to full health.  Lord, as we know the shooting likely caused some deep emotional trauma for not only this agent, but to many other law enforcement officers who were present.  We, therefore, seek Your grace to touch their hearts and minds and draw them ever so close to Your Side.  May you prevent any officer from enduring the emotional rigors brought on by this near-death encounter.  O’ Lord, we ask for Your grace and comfort to touch the men and women of the F.B.I. and the Arizona Highway Patrol as they rally around their co-workers.  Most importantly Lord, may Your grace, love, peace and unending love settle upon the families of these wounded/injured officers and sustain them with your Mighty Arms.  May Your words speak to the hearts of anyone in need as follows:
“He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak.  Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength.      They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.”
May any officer who has strayed from Your path be drawn back into Your loving arms, In the name of Jesus Christ we pray, Amen
