Lord Jesus, the pain is ever so great and our hearts are broken at this tragic loss of two of Your Hattiesburg peacemakers.  O’ Lord, as the suspect(s) escaped and is/are on the run, we ask You to place Your hands of protection around every law enforcement officer in Mississippi and abroad as this massive manhunt is underway for the suspect(s) in this horrendous crime.  May You encamp Your angels around every officer and may they be shielded from any further attacks.  May You raise up witnesses and grant the investigators supernatural wisdom to be able to track down this suspect(s) and apprehend him.  And should the suspect(s) attempt to use lethal force, may You give all law enforcement officers insight and grace to respond as needed to protect their lives and the lives of others.  Lord, Your word says, “In my distress I called upon the Lord; to my God I cried for help.  From his temple he heard my voice, and my cry to him reached his ears. “  O’ Lord, we need Your divine intervention and power of Your Holy Spirit to capture the suspect(s).  May You fill every law enforcement officer with Your Strength and Grace to carry them through this very emotional time.  May You be a refuge to every officer.  Lord, as we know the families of these officers are just learning of this tragedy, we know there are countless broken hearts right now and it is Only Your Holy Spirit that can bring them peace in the middle of this storm.  O’ Lord, we call upon You on behalf of the Hattiesburg Police Department and ask You to cause the suspect(s) to be confused.  May they never have rest in their hearts and minds and may they never be able to sleep or think clearly.  Confuse their minds and spirits.  May you cause them such deep distress in their hearts that they will surrender.  Your word says, “Many are the sorrows of the wicked, but steadfast love surrounds the one who trusts in the Lord.”  So Lord, we trust in Your unfailing love.  Surround every member of the Hattiesburg Police Department with Your love and grace to carry them through this very difficult time of loss.  In the coming weeks as they will be saying a final farewell to these officers, may Your Holy Spirit bring comfort and a peace that passes all understanding.  May many officers re-examine their hearts and may Your Son be revealed to many where they may receive Jesus into their hearts for the forgiveness of sins and receive eternal life.  May they know Your word says, “Though I walk in the midst of trouble, you preserve my life; you stretch out your hand against the wrath of my enemies, and your right hand delivers me.”  In the name of Jesus we pray, Amen.
