Our Father in heaven, for the third time today, we come before Your Throne of Grace with extremely grateful hearts to thank YOU for Your amazing grace to have been upon this wounded St. Petersburg officer and the other two wounded officers in different parts of the country. Lord, as this officer is being treated at a local hospital, we ask You to continue to grant the medical staff with supernatural wisdom to be able to accurately diagnose his wounds and bring about a full recovery. As the details to this incident are limited, we ask You to pour out Your grace upon the entire St. Petersburg Police Department and continue to protect each of them from all harm and danger. May You grant the investigators wisdom to be able to piece together all of the facts surrounding this shooting. And if a suspect is still being sought, may he be captured quickly. We especially want to lift up the family of this wounded officer before Your Throne of Grace and ask You to touch their hearts and minds and pour out Your Peace that passes all understanding upon them. Lord, we ask You to use this near-death encounter to draw this officer ever so close to Your side where he can hear Your heart beat. And if this officer does not know Your love and forgiveness, may he know, “That if you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved.” May many St. Petersburg officers and friends be drawn ever so close to Your side with hearts of gratitude. May many receive Your Son in their hearts as a result of this incident, in the name of Jesus Christ we pray, Amen.
