Dear Lord, as these unprovoked attacks on Your peacemakers continues, we need Your supernatural, divine intervention into the lives of hundreds of thousands of law enforcement officers across America.  O’ Lord, our hearts are in deep distress as we join with the men and women of the Rio Rancho Police Department as we mourn this senseless and tragic loss.  Our Father in heaven, we lift up the men and women of the New Mexico law enforcement community as they work together to solve this heinous crimes.  As the news reports indicate a suspect has been arrested, we ask You to grant the investigators with supernatural insight and wisdom to be able to professionally and accurately gather all of the evidence needed to bring this suspect to justice.  Lord, as we know countless law enforcement officers a numb and grieving this morning, we seek Your amazing grace to settle upon their hearts and draw them ever so close to Your Side where we know there is a peace that passes comprehension.  Lord, we especially lift up the family members of this fallen officer and ask You to touch them with Your arms of love and grace where You will carry them through this very, very difficult time.  Lord, we ask You to raise up Godly officers, chaplains and others to be available to share the love and peace of Your Son as they pass through this very emotional storm.  As we know in the coming days, the Rio Rancho Police will be preparing a final farewell to this fallen brother, we ask You to allow the love of Your Son to shine ever so brightly into the hearts of so many who are hurting.  May Many be drawn to Him because of His love, compassion, comfort, peace and grace.  May many officers and family members hear the good news for the first time and receive Your Son into their hearts.  May anyone who is in a backslidden condition recommit their lives to You.  May they intimately come to know, “For the LORD watches over the way of the righteous, but the way of the wicked will perish.”  In the name of Jesus we pray, Amen.
