Our Gracious Lord, we come into Your Presence Lord to lift up the men and women of the Edmonton Police Department as they are mourning the loss of an officer and are rallying around supporting a second injured officer. As we know You are Our Refuge and Strength, we come boldly before the Throne of Grace to lift the men and women of the Edmonton Police Department as they are still searching for the suspect. May Your continued touch and healing power be upon the surviving officer and hold him tightly in Your Arms of Mercy.  May You raise up the correct medical specialists as needed in order to diagnose and treat the wounds of this officer.  May Your Holy Spirit settle upon the entire Edmonton Police Department and sustain them with Your Amazing Grace.  Lord, as this intense situation is still in progress, we ask You to encamp Your Angels around every law enforcement officer and citizen at this scene and keep them from any further harm or danger.  May You grant the law enforcement officers supernatural wisdom as they search for this suspect and may he be captured without harm to any others.  May Your peace that transcends understanding especially settle upon the family members and co-workers of these fallen and wounded officers.  May Your love, grace, peace, comfort and mercy fill their hearts and minds.  May your Holy Spirit speak to the heart and mind of the suspect or suspects and cause them to surrender peacefully.  May You confuse the mind of the suspect(s) and cause him to be captured if he persists in resisting the authorities.  And if this suspect tries to harm any more officers or citizens, may you cause his weapons to misfire or malfunction.  May You confuse the mind of this suspect and may he be safely apprehended.  O’ Lord, we ask You to be a Hiding Place for every officer in this time of need.  May every Edmonton Officer come to know You are Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father and the Prince of Peace.  May You use this tragic incident to draw many officers unto Your Side where they may Know Your Son and receive eternal life.  May You prevent any officer from enduring the rigors of any short term or long term emotional trauma.  O’ Lord, the men and women of the Edmonton Police Department need YOU more than every RIGHT NOW.  May they see Your power at work which will draw many to seek You.  May You raise up chaplains and other Godly officers to be available to share Your Love.  May Your peace be made real in those whose hearts are broken.  May many officers be given an opportunity to know the love of Your Son.  Lastly, may any officer who has strayed from Your path return to You, in the name of Jesus Christ we pray, Amen.
