O’ Lord, we need Your supernatural intervention for law enforcement officers as evidenced by this ambush attack on another one of Your Peacemakers.  Lord, we come with boldness and a sense of urgency before your Throne of Grace as we lift up Officer Terry Smith who was shot in the back while on a traffic stop.  As the news reports indicate he is in a hospital being treated, we ask You to guide the doctors hands and minds in order to be able to accurately diagnose and treat his wound.  May Your peace and comfort touch Officer Terry where he may be overwhelmed with Your Presence and Grace.  And as his family is at his side to support him through this very emotional time,  may they, too, come to sense Your grace and mercy.  May You grant the Houston Police investigators with supernatural wisdom and insight in order to be able to locate the suspect(s) and bring them to justice.  Lord, may You lead the investigators to surveillance video cameras, witnesses and other resources in order to find this heinous and cowardly suspect.  Lord, we ask You to allow the law enforcement officers to quickly capture this suspect.  May You cause this suspects mind to be confused.  May You cause the suspects to be unable to rest in their mind and spirit.  May You cause their weapons to malfunction in the event they try to harm another officer.  May Your encamp Your angels around every member of the Houston Police Department and every other officer across Texas and America.  O’ Lord, we need You to constantly be a Shield around us and remind us that You are our Hiding Place.  Lord, may You be a Refuge and Strength to the entire Texas law enforcement community.  May Your Holy Spirit draw countless officers unto Your Side where they may come to know Your peace and grace.  May every Texas law enforcement officer come to receive You into their hearts as Savior and Lord.  Again Lord, may You cause the suspects to be captured according to Your Riches and Glory.  May You remind every Texas law enforcement officer that the job they perform as a peacemaker is a God-ordained endeavor and may they perform their duties with integrity and honor at all times, in the name of Jesus we pray, Amen.
