Our Gracious Lord, When the men and women of the Hutto Police started their day today, they had no idea of the tragedy that lied ahead with the loss of Sgt. Christopher Kelley.  As the details to this incident are minimal, we ask You to first of all pour out Your mercies and grace upon the small, close knit Hutto Police Department as they come to grips with the loss of a dear friend and co-worker.  May Your arms of love surround each of them and hold them tightly.  Most importantly Lord, we ask You to pour out Your love, grace, mercy and Your Presence unto the family of Sgt. Kelley as they are mourning ever so greatly at this senseless and tragic loss.  May Your words bring comfort to may: 1) For the LORD comforts his people and will have compassion on his afflicted ones. 2) Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted. 3) Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me.  4) So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.  So, Lord, we ask You to give the investigators wisdom and insight to be able to gather the facts surrounding this incident.  We are thankful a suspect has been arrested.  Nonetheless Lord, we seek Your forgiveness in his life for we know You are not willing that any should perish and that all would come to repentance.  May this suspect come to receive You even though he must suffer the consequences of his actions.  As the Hutto Police must now began the process to prepare a final farewell to Sgt. Kelley, may the final services bring glory to Your name.  May You use this service as a time to draw countless law enforcement officers and others unto the love of Your Son.  May many receive Him as their Savior and Lord, in the name of Jesus we pray, Amen.
