Our Father in Heaven, we come boldly before Your Throne of Grace as we lift up a seriously injured Dekalb Police Officer from an on-duty collision.  As the news reports indicate he is in the hospital with moderate injuries, we ask You to continue to give the medical staff wisdom and insight to accurately diagnose any and all injuries and render the correct treatment to bring about a full recovery.  As this collision could have been much worse, we are ever so grateful for Your hands of protection to have been upon this officer and we ask that You would shower this injured officer with Your love, grace, compassion and mercies as he is recovering from this near death encounter.  May Your amazing grace especially touch the family of this injured officer as they are at the hospital supporting him at this very emotional time.  As we know this has also affected the men and women of the Dekalb Police Department and many of the paramedics and first responders, may Your presence be made known to them and bring them peace in the midst of this storm.  As we know traumatic incidents like these cause some to look to You for comfort, may Your Holy Spirit comfort and speak to those in need and may they be drawn ever so close to Your side.  If this injured officer does not know Your Amazing Love found in Your Son, may Your Holy Spirit reveal Your love to him and draw him close to the foot of the Cross.  May You reveal to the hearts of those in need that For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast.   In the name of Jesus Christ we pray, Amen.
