Praying for wounded Greene County (Alabama) Sheriff's Deputy Tommy Johnson

Our Father in Heaven, Gratefulness, thanks and praise sum up the feelings of every law enforcement officer in Alabama. We come with hearts of humility before Your throne of Grace to offer heartfelt thanks in sparing the life of Deputy Johnson and allowing him to go home to his family. We are also so very thankful his wounds were minor. As we know this near-death experience will forever change Deputy Johnson, we ask You to pour out your blessings upon him and may You use this incident to cause any law enforcement officer or anyone else who has strayed from Your path to get right with You. If Deputy Johnson or any of his co-workers do not know You personally, may You use this assault to cause many of them to be drawn unto Your Son in whom there is forgiveness and everlasting life. Perhaps there have been some law enforcement officers who are struggling in their marriages, may You use this encounter to cause families to forgive each other and be drawn back together. May You prevent Deputy Johnson and any other deputy from enduring any long term emotional trauma often brought on by these encounters. We are so very grateful to You Lord for the successful capture of the suspects who tried to murder your servant. May You give the investigators wisdom to investigate and gather evidence to successfully prosecute these suspects. We also ask You to cause these suspects to come to know Your love and forgiveness. May Your grace, mercy, peace and love touch Deputy Johnson and his family as they cope with this near tragedy. May Your mercies continue to be a Shield around law enforcement officers across America and abroad. May many see Your goodness and mercies at work in their lives, in the name of Jesus we pray, Amen.
