Praying for wounded Beaverton (Oregon) Police Officer Scott Burke

Our Father in Heaven, We come boldly into thy Presence to lift up Beaverton Police Officer Scott Burke unto Your Throne of Grace. We are so thankful that You spared his life and ask you to continue to pour out your healing power upon his body and may he be fully restored to complete health. As the news reports indicate he is stable, we ask You to continue to give the doctors wisdom to render the correct treatment and allow for a full recovery. May Your amazing grace and mercies settle upon the family of Officer Burke as they rally around him and support him at this difficult time. May Officer Burke and his family intimately know that it is your love, grace and mercies that will carry them through this difficult time. Lord, we also ask for your peace to gently settle upon the hearts and minds of every member of the Beaverton Police Department and may they know it is YOU who is carrying them through this difficult time. May every officer know without a doubt that You will be their Shield, their Rock and their Fortress wherever they go. May every officer in Beaverton and across America continue to remember their training and to always use proper tactics and procedures. As the news reports indicate the suspect lost his life, may Your mercies be upon his family, too, and sustain them by Your love and grace. May you uplift the officers who were at the shooting scene and fill them with Your love, grace, peace and comfort as we know this can affect them just as much. May they know You are the only One who can truly sustain them at this emotionally difficult time. May every Beaverton Police officer know that anyone who calls upon the name of the Lord will be saved and enter Your rest. May you use this near-death encounter to draw many unto Your Side where they may come to know You personally as their Savior and Lord. May your unfailing love be made known to all. May You use many Christian officers and chaplains to reach out to their peers and may they see Your love in action. And if Officer Burke does not know You, may he know that now is the day of salvation. This we ask in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
