Our Gracious Lord, we come into Your Presence to thank You for sparing the lives of Deputy Michael Booker and Deputy Jose Perez. As the news reports indicate Deputy Booker was airlifted and is stable, we continue to lift him before Your Throne of Grace and ask You to pour out Your grace and wisdom upon the doctor’s treating him and grant them insight to be able to render the proper treatment and to allow for a full recovery. May Your grace, love, peace, mercy and comfort touch the hearts and minds of both of these wounded deputies who experienced this near-death encounter. Thank You Lord, that the wound to Deputy Perez was minor. Nonetheless, as we know incidents like these can cause short term and long term emotional trauma, may Your Holy Spirit settle upon their hearts and draw them ever so close to Your Side. Most importantly, we ask for Your amazing grace and mercy to especially touch the families of both deputies as they rally around them to support and love them at this very emotional time. Lord, we also want to lift up the small army of law enforcement officers who are searching for the suspect. May You encamp Your angels around every law enforcement officer and may they be forever shielded from any and all harm and danger. May You cause the suspect to be captured. May Your Holy Spirit confuse this thoughts and actions and cause him to be disoriented, hungry, thirsty and confused. May You disable any weapons in his possession. Should he attempt to use any weapons upon Your peacemakers, may You cause the weapons to malfunction or misfire. Lord, we ask You to speak to the heart of this suspect and cause him to peacefully surrender. May You fill the investigators and those tracking the suspect with supernatural wisdom, insight and ability to successfully locate the suspect and take him into custody without incident. May Your peace and Your presence touch the countless families of the law enforcement officers involved in the search and may they sense Your peace that passes all understanding guarding their hearts and minds. May they know they can place their trust in You at all times for You are able to do exceedingly abundant and bring this search to a successful close with the capture of the suspect. May the families and officers know they can “Be still and know You are God.” In the name of Jesus we pray, Amen.
