Our Father in Heaven,  the hearts of countless families of firefighters are reeling at these two unrelated attacks on the same day upon two unarmed firefighter-servants in New York City and in Baltimore.  We, first of all, are so very grateful that their injuries were not life-threatening and thank You so much for sparing their lives.  As they are being treated at local hospitals, we ask You to pour out Your healing power upon them and grant the medical staff wisdom to render the correct treatment and bring about a full recovery.  O’ Lord, when unarmed servants begin to be attacked serving others, we know this will begin a whole new era in how firefighters and other first responders will have to handle their duties.  Nonetheless Lord, we lift up our firefighters across America and abroad.  May You surround them with Your Presence.  May You always be their Rock, Fortress and Deliverer.  May Your peace and comfort touch the families of these two wounded New York City and Baltimore Firefighters and draw them unto Your Side.  May Your peace, love, grace, mercy and Presence, touch both wounded firefighters and keep them strong with Your loving-kindness.  May Your peace, grace and everlasting presence surround these wounded firefighters and may You prevent them from enduring any long-term emotional trauma brought on by incidents like these.  May You grant the investigators wisdom to gather all of the facts in both of these senseless attacks.  May the suspects in both incidents be brought to justice and, most of all, be given an opportunity to receive Your forgiveness found only in Your Son.  May Your Holy Spirit draw many firefighters unto the love of Your Son.  May any who have strayed from Your Path be drawn back unto Your Side.  May many know that Now is the day of salvation.  In the name of Jesus we pray, Amen.
