Our Father in Heaven, We are so grateful for Your wonderful mercies upon Officer Kevin Parker and are so thankful that You spared his life.  We come into Your Presence, Lord and lift him unto You and ask You to wrap Your loving arms around him as he recovers from this near-death experience.  We are most grateful for the Kevlar vest that saved his life.  May Your peace that passes all understanding sustain him and may he be drawn ever close to Your side for the continuing comfort of Your Holy Spirit.  May You continue to grant the doctors wisdom to treat his shoulder wound and bring about a full recovery.  May Your mercy, grace, love and everlasting comfort especially settle upon his family, too, had to endure the near loss of their loved one.  May Your grace additionally touch every member of the Corinth  Police Department as they rally around supporting Officer Parker and his family.  As the suspect is still on the loose, may You give wisdom to the investigators to be able to locate the suspect and take him into custody without incident.  May You raise up witnesses and others to report the location of this suspect.  May You cause the suspect’s mind to be confused.  May he never be able to rest or sleep and may he be filled with guilt until he is arrested or surrenders.  May You raise up someone to share the love of Jesus with this suspect and may He receive Your Love and forgiveness.   May he be quickly apprehended and may no other officers be injured.  Lord, may You use these life threatening incidents as a reminder and training aid to law enforcement officers across America and the world to forever be vigilant in everything they do and may they never become complacent.  Lastly Lord, if there are any law enforcement officers who are struggling to make sense of the attacks upon law enforcement officers, may they know that You ordained their job to protect and serve their community wherever they may be.  May many law enforcement officers come to recognize their need to draw near to You for You will then draw near to them.  May Your Angels surround every officer in America and abroad.  May many come to receive Your forgiveness and receive Your Son as their Savior and Lord, in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
