Our Gracious Lord, on this Labor Day week-end, we come into Your Presence, O’ Lord, to lift up every law enforcement officer into Your Arms of Love and Justice. We also come before your Throne of Grace to lift up three law enforcement officers injured in the line of duty while trying to take someone into custody. We are so thankful that the lives of these three officers were spared, nonetheless, each did sustain moderate injuries requiring medical treatment. We, first lift up Officer Eloy Escareno who was struck with his own baton. We are thankful he was able to fight back and get the suspect into custody. We next want to lift up two Rochester officers who sustained a broken leg and dislocated shoulder. Lord, we ask You to grant the doctors treating all of these officers with supernatural wisdom to allow them a full recovery. As we know life-threatening encounters can cause officers to experience short-term and long-term emotional trauma, we seek Your grace and mercy to be upon these officers and may they be drawn ever so close to Your Side where there is comfort and peace. Because You, Lord, said, “Peace I leave you, My peace I give you”, may these officers and many of their co-workers be drawn unto your Side to intimately know just how much You love and care for Your peacemakers. Lord, wrap Your arms of love around every peacemaker this week-end and protect them as only Our Heavenly Father can. May officers across America know You will always be their Rock, Fortress and Deliver whom they can call on any time. May many officers come to receive You as their Savior and Lord. May Your grace and mercy touch families of law enforcement officers Across America and abroad and may they know they are doing a job sanctioned by You, in the name of Jesus we pray, Amen.
