Our God of Mercy, We come into Your Presence O’ Lord, to lift up Officer Kenneth Gill before Your Throne of Grace.  We are so thankful for answered prayers across America in protecting Your servants while on-duty and off-duty—including Officer Gill.  We are thankful his wounds were not serious and ask for Your hands of love, mercy and Your healing power to be upon his entire body.  May you grant all of the medical doctor’s supernatural wisdom and power to effectively treat and heal your servant who was performing his jobs as a peacemaker for the people of New Orleans.  Lord, we ask for your sustaining grace to touch every member of the New Orleans Police Department as they are cope with this sudden act of violence against one of their colleagues and friend.  May you grant the detectives and investigators involved in this incident wisdom and prudence to be able to gather the facts surrounding this incident in which another person was murdered.  May your hands of comfort and mercy especially settle upon the family of Officer Gill.  May You uphold and uplift them with your love, grace, peace and mercy.  May you be their rock, fortress and deliverer; may they know you will be their Rock in whom they can take refuge. May every officer and family member know You will be their Shield and Stronghold.  May Your Holy Spirit draw many to your side.  May you use chaplains and other Christian officers to reach out to other officers and family members at this very emotional time.  Most importantly, Lord, may many come to know the eternal salvation that can be found in You alone.  This we ask in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
