Our Merciful Lord, the silence from the top of the government is deafening as we lift another one of Your Servants before Your Throne of Grace shot during a traffic stop.  We are so thankful that You spared the life of this officer.  As this officer is being treated at a hospital, may You fill the medical staff with wisdom and insight to continue to diagnose and treat his injuries and bring about a full recovery.  Lord, we ask for a Touch of the Master’s hand to be upon the family of this wounded officer as they support him at this very emotional time.  May Your love, grace, comfort, mercies, peace and everlasting love surround both the wounded officer and his family.  In the midst of this terrible storm, may your peace reign supreme on them.  May Your amazing grace reach out and touch every member of the Phoenix Police Department as they search for the suspects responsible for this attack on one of Your peacemakers.  As the news reports three suspects have been apprehended, may you continue to fill the investigators with wisdom, insight and grace as they systematically gather the facts in this heinous attack.  Lord, use this attack to awaken every governmental leader and every law-abiding citizen across America.  May Your Holy Spirit surround law enforcement officers everywhere to include during traffic stops, lunch, domestic calls, high risk calls and any other activity.  Lord, Your Word says this about peacemakers, “For he is God's servant for your good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, for he does not bear the sword in vain. For he is the servant of God, an avenger who carries out God's wrath on the wrongdoer.”  Yes, Lord, may You continue to use Your peacemakers to maintain peace in their communities for without them, anarch would result.  May You prevent this officer and any co-workers from enduring any emotional trauma from this attack.  And if this wounded officer does not know You, open his heart to Your love and forgiveness.  May many come to receive You into their hearts as savior and Lord, in the name of Jesus we Pray, Amen.
