Our Gracious Lord, every day law enforcement officers confront the unknown as exemplified by two separate near death encounter upon several Savannah-Chatham Police Officers and a Harmony Township Police Officer. We, therefore, come boldly before Your Throne of Grace, Lord, to lift up Officers Ruben Colon, Michael Gonzales and Alan Loskoch into Your Arms of Love and Grace.  We are ever so thankful to You, Lord, for sparing the lives of your servants and that their wounds were not too serious. As these officers are being treated at a hospital, we ask You, Lord, to grant the doctors and entire medical staff wisdom from on High to effectively treat and restore them to full health.  We are so grateful Officer Loskoch was saved by his Kevlar vest, the fourth officer saved this past week by using a vest.  As these wounded Savannah-Chatham officers and several others on this traffic stop were forced to fire their weapons in which the suspect lost his life, we know this near-death encounter can cause a variety of emotional and spiritual challenges.  And as a massive manhunt is underway for the suspect who shot Officer Alan Loskoch, we ask You to give the investigators wisdom o track down this suspect and bring him to justice for attempting to kill one of Your Peacemakers.  May You confuse the mind of this suspect and cause his weapons to malfunction or misfire if he tries to harm anyone else.  May You cause him to be fatigued and filled with guilt.  May You raise up citizens to spot and report the location of the suspect.  So, Lord, as we know Your Word says You are able to do exceedingly abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, we, therefore, seek Your amazing grace to settle on the hearts of every officer and prevent them from enduring any short-term or long-term emotional trauma as a result of these near-death encounters. And as this trauma can also extend into their families as well, may Your grace touch every family member and may You use this to draw many unto the love of Your Son.  May you especially touch the men and women of the Savannah-Chatham Police Police Department and Harmony Township Police Department and uphold them with your peace and grace as they support and rally around their injured comrades.  May you be with the officers investigating these incidents and grant them wisdom and insight to help with the overall investigation.  May every officer know to pray this in their hearts every day they pin their badge on: “Deliver me from my enemies, O God; protect me from those who rise up against me. Deliver me from evildoers and save me from bloodthirsty men.” Finally Lord, may many officers, colleagues and family members of these wounded officers be drawn to you Lord—the only One who can and will provide them a peace that passes all understanding.  May You raise up chaplains and Godly officers to be a Light to those who are emotionally distressed.  And if these wounded officers do not know You, may they and many others come to receive You, Lord, in their hearts to be their Savior and Lord and receive forgiveness of sins and eternal life.  This we ask in the precious name of Jesus, Amen.
