Praying for a wounded Commerce City (CO) Police Officer

Our Heavenly Father, We come into Your Presence Lord to lift up a Commerce City Police Officer who was wounded in the line of duty. We are ever so grateful to You, Lord, for sparing his life as this officer was wearing a Kevlar vest. As the news reports indicate this officer has been treated and released from a hospital, we know you are the Great Physician, and ask for Your continued healing power to be upon his heart and mind and draw him ever so close to Your Side. We also lift up the suspect who escaped. May You grant the investigators supernatural wisdom and insight to be able to track down this suspect and take him in custody without incident. As the suspect obviously knows he is wanted, may Your Holy Spirit confuse his heart and mind and cause him to be continually fatigued and confused. May this suspect be filled with guilt. And should this suspect try to use his weapons on another officer or citizen, we ask You to cause his weapon to malfunction. May You raise up citizens to spot the suspect and report his location. And even now, Lord, may Your Holy Spirit speak to the heart of this suspect and may He intimately know how much You love him and that You do not want any to perish but for all to come to repentance in You. May Your Holy Spirit bring spiritual and emotional strength to this wounded officer who had this near death encounter and may You prevent him from enduring any long term emotional trauma. May you be with the entire Commerce City Police Department as they support their wounded colleague and may You surround them with Your love. May you also be with family of this wounded officer and grant them strength, grace peace and mercy to sustain them through this emotional time. May all of the officers and their family members know they can always trust in your unfailing love to carry them through any difficult situation. May many be drawn to the love and peace of Jesus Christ who can and will uphold them with His arms of love. May many family members and officers examine their hearts and may You provide them an opportunity to receive you into their hearts as Savior and Lord. May many come to know you in a real and personal way, in the name of Jesus Christ we pray, Amen.
