Our Father in Heaven, At this time of the year when we all celebrating Thanksgiving, we must now come before Your Throne of Grace to lift up the McFarland Police Department as they mourn the loss of their dear friend and coworker Officer Ryan Copeland.  O’ Lord, we ask for Your grace and mercy be upon the men and women of the McFarland Police Department.  May Your love touch their hearts and minds and may Your Holy Spirit draw them ever somclose to you where there is abundant mercies to carry them through this difficult time.  We also lift up Officer Copeland’s family who are obviously in deep mourning and grieving greatly.  May your hands of love and mercy wrap around then ever so tightly.  May the entire McFarland Police Department and every family member come to intimately know that You will always be their Rock, Fortress and Deliverer—you will always be their God and their Rock in whom they can always take refuge.  May they know that as they call to you in their distress, you will always hear them.  Lord, we continue lift up every law enforcement officer in America who drives an emergency vehicle.  As so many are in harms ways every day, we ask for your hand of protection to be upon every law enforcement officer and constantly protect them in any situation while on the roads.  Continue to uphold the family and friends of Officer Copeland with your arms of love.  As the McFarland Police Department will no be preparing a final farewell to their fallen brother, may many be given an opportunity receive You into their hearts to be their Savior and Lord.  In the midst of this tragic loss, may many be drawn to Your side and may they know the joy in their hearts that only You can provide.  This we ask in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
