Our Lord Jesus, We come before Your awesome Throne of Grace to lift up Deputy Michael Hutchinson. As the news reports indicate he is in serious condition, we seek the Touch of the Master’s Hand to be upon his body and restore him to full health. Most importantly, Lord, we ask You to give the doctors and medical personnel continued wisdom to effectively treat him that will lead to a complete recovery. May Deputy Hutchinson be comforted by the presence of Your Holy Spirit as he is likely undergoing surgery and other related treatment. May Your grace especially be with his family and co-workers and grant them peace in their hearts and minds as they cope with this near tragedy. As the news reports indicate the suspect was shot and has died, may Your Presence be with all of the deputies who were at that shooting scene and protect their minds and hearts from any mental and emotional repercussions so common to those who have experienced life threatening events. Grant all of the investigators wisdom and insight to investigate this incident. May the presence of your Holy Spirit be revealed to all of the deputies and if any do not know you personally, may they somehow have an opportunity to receive You into their hearts and obtain eternal life with You. May the family know Your Word says, “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” This we ask in the precious name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
