Dear Heavenly Father,

I lift before your throne all the police officers and their families. Be with each officer as they go to work to protect and serve our communities. Keep them safe from all harm and danger and bring them home safely to their families. Wrap them with your love, grace and encouragement as they do their jobs to please you even though what they do oftentimes goes unnoticed and unappreciated. Give their spouses peace and contentment as they see their loved one off each day. Lord, help us to trust you more and to give all our fears and reservations totally to you. We are so thankful that you are a God that loves us and knows what is best for our lives. When things don’t go the way we planned or had hoped for, help us to trust in you as you know the big picture and what is best for us and our families. Use each officer and their spouse to touch others and to be a light that shines in a dark and evil world.

Thank you, Lord, for loving me; for lifting me up when I was discouraged; for giving me strength to deal with the kids when I was alone; for bringing my husband home each day for the last 37 years; for seeing us through difficult times in our marriage; and for bringing us through numerous health issues. You are truly an awesome God!
